Club Cards/ Catalina Coupons/ Wine & Pet Programs
Our Union stores have "club" card and discount coupon programs to increase customer traffic and overall sales. Unfortunately, these programs can be too enticing as several more Union members have recently lost their jobs by not following Company policies.
Each "club" card or discount program comes with rules that, as an employee, you are expected to follow. Since your employer keeps a record of your signature(s) noting agreement with these various policies; any attempt to bend these rules either for the benefit of customers or your own benefit will very likely cost you your job.
Therefore, your Union recommends the following:
· Re-read company policies regarding "club" card and discount programs.
· Call for the manager-in-charge when in doubt or your customer disputes policy.
· DO NOT make your own "best judgment" calls.
In any case, contact your Union Representative immediately if disciplinary action is taken against you.
