Four Ralphs supermarkets in Orange County will close in April, company spokesman Terry O'Neil announced today.
The stores are located at 1020 N. Euclid St., Anaheim; 1701 W. Orangethorpe Ave., Fullerton; 1305 W. Whittier Blvd., La Habra, and 1411 N. Tustin Ave., Orange.
The Anaheim store will close April 8; the others close April 15.
The 50 employees at each store will be transferred; no jobs will be lost.
O'Neil said the stores were underperforming for a long time.
“We will be working aggressively with the landlords to look for tenant replacements,” O'Neil added.
Ralphs, which has 57 stores in Orange County, announced Wednesday that it has scrapped its double coupon program and plans to open in-store Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf cafes.
