Albertsons Off-the Clock Lawsuit Settlement

After nearly a decade of litigation an agreement-in-principle has been entered into, therefore concluding the Albertsons Off-the-Clock suit. The court has given preliminary approval of the settlement and a hearing to determine the court's final approval will be held March 22, 2007.
If the agreement-in-principle receives final approval, Albertsons will pay $53.3 million to be apportioned among claimants. Claimants will be receiving notice, within the next several weeks, of the court's preliminary approval and the amount they will receive upon the court's final approval.
If approved, payments will be made without challenge by Albertsons and occur as early as Spring 2007.
