Cure CVS 

During its rapid expansion, CVS seems to have forgotten who helped get them to the top—its customers and employees. And its customer base includes a sizeable number of minorities.

Sadly, the company’s long-standing security policy employs different methods of preventing shoplifting in minority neighborhoods than it does at its locations in more affluent areas. 

In fact, a comprehensive study has uncovered the depths of the company’s biased policies such as keeping everything from condoms to baby formula under lock and key.  Store appearance in more affluent areas is also at a significantly higher level than its properties in poorer, more diverse communities.

The UFCW is supporting the efforts of vocal activists in communities throughout Southern California as they attempt to sway the company to treat its customers with respect and dignity no matter what community they reside in.
